Sydney police crack down on COVID-19 rule breakers
More than 100 officers are out and in force in Sydney’s southwest targeting COVID-19 compliance in a new initiative to stop the spread of the virus.
The message the police will be patrolling has been received by the communities under scrutiny as areas of Sydney are deserted.
The police service will use highway patrol, dog squads, mounted officers, and police helicopters to ensure the 800,000 people in Sydney’s southwest are remaining home.
The local government areas targets are Bankstown, Fairfield, and Liverpool-Canterbury.
